How to Suggest a Resource
Who can suggest a resource?
Any visitor to the Health A-Z section may suggest a resource to be added to the database. All submissions are reviewed, edited and approved by project staff before going live on the site. We reserve the right to include, exclude and edit suggested resources according to our Collection Development Policy and Style Guide.
To find out more about the Collection Development policy or Style Guide, e-mail your question to resources@womenshealthmatters.ca
How do I suggest a resource?
- You can e-mail your information to: resources@womenshealthmatters.ca
- Or you can mail us a hard copy, which we will review and donate to the Marion Powell Women’s Health Information Centre at Women's College Hospital.
What type of resources may I suggest?
Feel free to suggest any book, periodical, website or audiovisual or multimedia resource about women's health or general health that you think belongs in our database. We count on people in the community to help us keep our information comprehensive.
How soon can I expect to see the resource(s) I suggest on the site?
We will evaluate your suggestion according to our Collection Development Policy and if it meets our selection criteria, we will list it on the site as soon as we can. However, because of staff and time constraints and the vast number of resources from which to choose, we do have to prioritize resources according to whether they meet our highest priority criteria or whether they fill a gap in our collection. For these reasons, some valuable resources will not get into the database right away.
To find out about the status of your submission or to learn more about our Collection Development policy, e-mail us at resources@womenshealthmatters.ca.
