How to Search the Health A-Z Section

Which type of search should I use: Basic Search, Detailed Search, A-Z Index or Popular Searches?

Begin with the Basic Search to explore the database, or use it when you know the title, author, or organization responsible for the resource, or when the words you want to use are likely to be commonly used across many resources. It also works well for broad subject selection by Topic.

You might also want to begin to explore the database by using the A-Z Index to browse women’s health topics or select Popular Searches for a pre-selected list of records under some of our most popular topics requested.

The Detailed Search works more precisely to retrieve resources categorized in various ways. We have provided many checkboxes and drop-down lists to make the Detailed Search function return exact results.
